A young woman is forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters. She dreams of a better life, and with the help of her Fairy Godmother, she is transformed into an elegant young lady and able to attend the ball to meet her Prince. In this contemporary adaptation, she also opens the Prince's eyes to the injustices in his kingdom, and paves the way for change and a "happily ever after" for all.
